Feedback from the client:
Data entry is not smooth in the new system, it forces you to use your mouse for practically all of it, which is tedious and frustrating (angering to be honest).
Test example – to update just the coverage tab for one location:
In our current Enterprise system, in a drop-down field, I can type in a value, the system takes a second to recognize it as valid, I tab to the next field which sets the value in the field I just tabbed out of, and I can then make the next entry, tab out, and so on through the form.
It took 29 seconds for me to update 10 fields my test record. That’s a rate of 2.9 seconds per field (if you want to calculate it out like that).
In the new system:
I cannot type/tab in any drop-down field, I must click and select with my mouse.
It took 32 seconds to update the same 10 fields in my test record in the new system. That’s a rate of 3.2 seconds per field.
Even just to tab through the fields on the screen, takes longer, because of the extra tab stop each time.
I tabbed at the same pace in each system to test.
Enterprise: 29 fields took 29 tabs & 6 seconds
Clearsight: 29 fields took 45 tabs & 9 seconds
1.5 times the number of tab stops in the new system, for the same number of fields.
Drop down fields can technically be tabbed into in ClearSight, but it registers two areas of focus on the field (one for the left/blank portion of the box, then another for the actual drop down arrow). The drop down will only be engaged when focus is on the down arrow. So while it is possible to keyboard through the fields, it's not intuitive and requires more keystrokes to accomplish compared to Enterprise.
